That’s the question that a new book, The Derbyshire Cook Book, prompts when you pick it up! The book brings together 40 recipes which include contributions from celebrities such as Radio Derby DJ Sally Pepper, who put forward a recipe called Sausage Surprise. Former Eastenders star, Des Coleman, has also contributed and so too has ex-Rams footballer Roy McFarland. There’s also a fisherman’s pie from Gem 106 presenters Sam and Amy and many more locally influenced dishes.
Drawing on the rich tapestry of Derbyshire produce, a number of local eateries were also asked to contribute and ranged from the Michelin-starred Baslow Hall, the two Devonshire Arms of the Chatsworth Estate and Owen Tayor and Sons butchers of Alfreton. The Derbyshire Cook Book is available to buy from all of the businesses in the book, as well as local gift shops and book shops.
So being such fans of Derbyshire produce, that’s welcome news for The Orange Box Food Company. For more information on our Derbyshire catering services, get in touch now!
