We hear more and more about the high standards of Derbyshire food and drink and today is no exception, according to the Derby Telegraph. A Derbyshire cake-mix duo has recently won a competition run by ‘grown up’ high street chain, Ann Summers.
Every Wednesday, entrepreneur and owner of Ann Summers, Jacqueline Gold, encourages business owners to Tweet her with a description of what it is they do. She then picks her top three entries and retweets them to her 30,000 Twitter followers in way of support.
Nicola Read and Wendy Prichard who run Stick Mix entered into the competition using the hashtag #WOW, which stands for Women on Wednesday, and beat off some 200 other businesses that had entered.
Sticky Mix sells a range of regular cookie and brownie mixes, as well as gluten and soya-free mixes. The company also sells a range of children’s which aims to encourage youngsters and parents to get together in the kitchen.
As well as beer-battered fish n chips and flame grilled meats, The Orange Food Box Company also has somewhat of a sweet Derbyshire tooth. We serve up a selection of coffees, teas, cakes and pastries at Derbyshire weddings, outside events and corporate events across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
